Why the subfloor decides everything

Flooring installed over an uneven or damp subfloor will cause problems, and those problems may not show up on delivery day. They can show up six months later: a squeak underfoot, a buckled seam, or a gap opening up in a corner.

When that happens, there’s no small fix. The flooring has to be removed, the subfloor has to be corrected, and the flooring has to be installed again. That means paying for the same floor twice.

That’s why subfloor prep isn’t an add-on line on our quote. It’s part of the job. We check the level, correct whatever needs to be corrected, and only then do we install the flooring. More work up front means fewer problems later.

What we do

  • Flooring

    LVP, laminate, hardwood and tile, installed new or replacing what's already there. That includes tearing out the old floor, prepping and leveling the subfloor, and running stairs, which is the part that separates a clean job from an obvious one.

  • Trim and carpentry

    Baseboards, trim and finish carpentry. Cabinet installation. This is what closes a room out, and what makes the difference between finished and well finished.

  • Remodeling and repair

    Kitchen and bathroom remodels, general home remodeling, sheetrock and drywall, and the repairs that turn up along the way. If the floor is where a project starts, this is usually the rest of it.

What does it cost?

It depends on square footage, material and the condition of the subfloor. That's why I look before I quote. Forms of payment: Zelle, cash, check, Apple Pay and Cash App.

Do you supply the material?

We can provide the flooring material, or we can install materials you’ve already purchased. If you’re unsure about what to buy, our team can guide you toward the best flooring option for your home, with great quality and affordable pricing.

How long does it take?

A single room usually runs one to two days. A whole house depends on the square footage, and I'll give you the date when I quote.

Do I need to move out?

Usually not. We work room by room whenever the layout allows.
